Are children allowed in the library?

Answer

The McCarthy Library is open to the public. Children 12 and under must be supervised by a designated adult at all times in the library (librarians and library staff cannot be designated to watch children). Since the library wishes to provide an atmosphere conducive to study and research, children who cause disturbances by crying, running, making noise, or exhibition of other disruptive behavior must removed from the Library by their parent(s) or guardian.
